Privacy policy
Your privacy matters to me as much as your care. This page explains what information I collect, why I need it, who I share it with and the choices you have.

01
Who I am
I am Lorraine Grover, a Psychosexual Nurse Specialist working as a sole trader. I am the data controller for the personal information collected through this website and in my practice, and I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration number ZA061019.
Email info@lorrainegrover.com, call +44 (0)1494 670181 or write to me at The London Clinic Consulting Rooms, 116 Harley Street, London W1G 7JL.
02
What I collect
When you send an enquiry. Your name, email address and message, and anything else you choose to give: your phone number, what you would like help with, how you prefer to be contacted, a preferred clinic or how you heard about me. The events form also asks for your organisation, event date, audience and format.
When you book. Appointments are booked through Carebit, which collects the details needed to arrange your consultation.
When you browse. Google Analytics records how the site is used: pages visited, approximate location (town or city), device and browser, and how you arrived. It does not tell me who you are. See my cookie policy to switch it off.
Please do not include detailed clinical information in the enquiry form. Email is not suitable for clinical advice, and we can talk about your health in a consultation.
03
Health information
Information about your sexual health is special category data and is treated with particular care. I only use it to reply to you and, if you become my patient, to provide your care.
- If you mention your health in an enquiry, I rely on your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Once you are my patient, I rely on the provision of health care under a duty of confidentiality (UK GDPR Article 9(2)(h)).
04
How and why I use it
- To reply to your enquiry, because you asked me to, and to take steps before arranging your care (legitimate interests and contract).
- To provide your care and manage appointments (contract and the provision of health care).
- To improve this website using Google Analytics in aggregate only (legitimate interests). You can switch this off in Cookie settings.
- To meet my legal and professional duties, such as keeping clinical records to Nursing and Midwifery Council standards (legal obligation).
I never sell your information, and I do not use it for advertising or marketing.
06
Other services on this site
- Google Maps only loads when you choose Show map on a clinic panel.
- Doctify shows my patient rating and reviews.
- Carebit shows the booking form on the Book consultation page.
- Links to LinkedIn, X and Instagram take you to those sites, which have their own policies.
- Affiliate links on the Recommended products page take you to the retailer, which may record that you came from my site.
Each of these companies is responsible for the information it collects. Please read their privacy policies before using them.
07
Transfers outside the UK
Some of the services I use, including Google and Zapier, may process information outside the UK. Where they do, it is protected by UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement.
08
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Clinical records: for as long as professional and legal guidance requires, normally 8 years after your last appointment.
- Website statistics: 2 months in Google Analytics.
09
Keeping it safe
I use secure, password-protected systems with two-step sign-in where available, limit access to your information to what is needed for your care, and only work with providers that protect it to UK standards. This website is served over an encrypted connection.
10
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:
- give you a copy of the information I hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
- delete your information, where I do not need to keep it
- restrict or object to how I use it
- pass it to you or another organisation in a common format
- stop using it where you gave consent
Asking is free, and I will reply within one month.
